Van Leeuwen Artisan Ice Cream
Ben Van Leeuwen studied business at college. After graduating, he dreamed of starting a food business. Together with his wife Laura O'Neil and brother Peter Van Leeuwen, they developed an idea for an Artisan Ice Cream business. Artisan means to use ingredients that are grown or produced in a way where quality over efficiency is the goal. Artisan principles don't easily mix with corporate business - and their friends and mentors told them the business plan was destined to fail. Despite the naysayers, Ben, Laura and Pete have succeeded by staying true to themselves and their vision for Van Leeuwen Artisan Ice Cream....
